Initializing Arc Without an Internet Connection
Initializing Arc with a Server Without an Internet Connection
Arc is a single executable with everything included — no installation is required. However, to activate a trial or license, the browser used to access Arc must have internet access to reach the Cubewise licensing server (bo.cubewise.com).
Server With Internet Connection
If the Arc server has internet access, you can activate Arc from any browser:
On the server:
http://localhost:7070From a remote machine:
http://tm1server:7070
Follow the normal trial or purchase flow. See Trialling and Buying Arc.
Server Without Internet Connection
If the server running Arc has no internet access, the browser on that server cannot reach the licensing server. In this case:
Use a browser on a machine that does have internet access.
Connect to Arc on the server remotely using:
http://tm1server:7070Complete the trial activation or license generation from that browser.
Why this works: Arc itself runs on the server — the internet connection is only needed in the browser that accesses the Arc UI during the licensing step. Once the license is generated and validated, Arc can be used from the server via
http://localhost:7070without any internet connection.
