Trialling and Buying Arc for TM1

Trialling and Buying Arc

This guide explains how to download Arc, start a trial, and purchase a subscription.

Important: To trial, buy, or update licenses, the browser hosting the Arc UI must have internet access. If you are accessing Arc on a server via Remote Desktop and cannot reach the internet, use a browser on your local desktop instead: http://ServerName:7070

Step 1: Download Arc

Download the latest version of Arc from the Arc download page: code.cubewise.com/arc-download

Step 2: Start Arc

  1. Unzip the downloaded folder.

  2. Copy the arc.exe file into your chosen installation folder (e.g. C:\Arc).

  3. Double-click arc.exe to start Arc.

  4. Arc can also be installed as a Windows service — see Setting Up Arc as a Windows Service.

Step 3: Start Your Trial

  1. Open Arc in a browser: http://localhost:7070 (on the server) or http://ServerName:7070 (from your desktop).

  2. When prompted, click the License Management button in the top right corner.

  3. Choose Organization or Individual.

  4. Agree to the terms and conditions and click Agree and Start Trial.

Your trial license will now be active. License information is shown in the License Information tab.

If you still see the blue pop-up when accessing developer features, your trial has expired. You will need to purchase a subscription.

Step 4: Buy a Subscription

After the trial expires, click License Management → Buy Now and follow these steps:

Choose Organization or Individual / Contractor / Consultant

Choose Monthly or Yearly subscription (Organizations only get yearly option)

Agree to the license terms

Enter your email address (this receives all subscription information)

Enter payment details (credit card for immediate access, or choose offline invoice)

Note: Credit card is the preferred payment method — it activates Arc immediately. Offline payment requires invoice verification before licenses can be generated.

After purchase, you will receive a Customer ID by email. Use this to generate licenses on each server where Arc is installed.
