Reusing Credentials

Pulse Version: 7.2.+

When configuring Pulse Monitor for on-premise TM1/PA Servers, there is an option to configure a credential which can then be used by default by all the TM1/PA servers that are active on that Environment.

This is disabled by default.

To enable, go into Administration | Environments page. Create or update a non-IBM Cloud environment. During setup, you will be presented with the following section,

Once enabled, you will be presented with three types of credentials that you can configure,

Configure accordingly. Once this has been saved, all active TM1/PA servers will now use this credential instead.

Note: If one of the underlying TM1/PA server has encountered an unauthorized response, the credential used will be marked as invalid - and all other TM1/PA servers using that credential gets an invalid status too making them unable to connect.
