Pulse Excel Logging
Pulse Excel Logging tracks the use of TM1-connected Excel workbooks across your organisation, providing visibility into which spreadsheets are being used, by whom, and how often.
Accessing Excel Workbook Analytics
Go to Reports → Excel Workbooks.
This view shows a list of all Excel workbooks containing TM1 formulas that have been opened by users. For each workbook you can see:
The workbook name
Which users have opened it
Usage frequency
Drilling into a Workbook
Click on a specific workbook to see stats broken down by sheet, showing which sheets within the workbook are being accessed and how actively.
Why This Matters
Excel is deeply integrated with TM1 and is often used for reporting, planning, and analysis. Without visibility into Excel usage, administrators have no way to know:
Which reports are actively being used vs. abandoned
Who is using which workbooks
Whether TM1-connected spreadsheets are following best practices
